British Political Uniform Ensemble In Tin Storage Box-Sir Edward Abdy Fellowes

British 20th century political uniform ensemble in tin storage box. Box measures 14" x 41" x 9.5" and displays plaque on tip lid for "E.A. Fellowes Esq." This grouping belonged to Sir Edward Abdy Fellowes, KCB, CMG, MC (1895-1970) who served as an official of the Parliament of the United Kingdom and a British Army officer who saw active service during World War I. He served as Clerk of the House of Commons from 1954 to 1961. The box contains; 1.) black wool tail coat with a stand-up collar with gold bullion leaves, fold up cuffs with gold bullion leaves, nine brass buttons with crowns and coat of arms and black quilted lining and two faux pockets on outside, 2.)black wool trousers with gold bullion stripes on both sides, 3.) Case with sets of small buckles and set of shoe buckles, 4.) Pair of black boots, 5.) Pair of black shoes, 6.) Black felt chapeau hat with British crown and coat of arms, 7.)Black wool chapeau hat gold bullion tassels and black rosette with a black lining (housed in it's own tin container), 8.) Miscellaneous socks, collars and other cloth pieces. Uniform shows slight wear.
