Colt Model 1861 Navy Revolver

Colt Model 1861 Navy revolver bearing the serial #18715 (matching serial numbers) in .36 caliber percussion. Pistol presents a 7.5" round barrel. Top of barrel present one-line stamping"ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT, NEW YORK US AMERICA". with left side of frame stamped "COLTS/PATENT in two lines. The cylinder is stamped"COLTS PATENT No" followed by serial number and trigger guard stamped"36 CAL". Cylinder is engraved with a scene of a naval engagement. Serial numbers indicate that the pistol was manufactured in 1864. Pistol exhibits an extensive amount of its bluing and case hardening. Pistol exhibits extremely light abrasions to wood grips and nice toning to brass. Top of barrel exhibits some small dents and abrasions. Gun would rate fine in NRA antique firearms standards.
