Leadership and Legacy: H. Brent Souder’s Contributions

Alderfer Auction Sales Director, H. Brent Souder, exemplifies dedication to the auction profession. With over 35 years as a PAA member, Brent has played a pivotal role in the organization’s leadership. Serving as the PAA’s President, and Board member,  Brent’s visionary approach influenced the association’s trajectory, inspiring peers and advancing industry standards. Brent’s distinguished career includes numerous honors that reflect his expertise and dedication. Inducted into the PAA Hall of Fame, he is celebrated as a cornerstone of the auctioneering community. Additionally, Brent was named Auctioneer of the Year, and his exceptional talent earned him the prestigious 2003 Bid Calling Championship—a testament to his skill, poise, and passion for the craft.

 Brent Souder's induction into the PAA Hall of Fame:  Mr. Souder had the honor bestowed upon him by his longtime associate Mr. Vernon L Martin at the recent 72nd PAA Annual Conference in Harrisburg, PA, on January 10 of 2020.

Christian Answini, our Senior Fine and Decorative Arts Specialist, has also made significant contributions to the PAA. A member for over 10 years, Christian brought his expertise and commitment to excellence to the PAA Board of Directors, where he served for six years. His leadership and educational seminars have helped shape the association’s initiatives and ensure its ongoing impact on the auction industry. Grant Souder, Sales and Apprentice Auctioneer, is the newest member of the Alderfer Team to join the PAA, learning at an early age the importance of the PAA and relationships that are forged. Sherry Russell, CEO and Owner of Alderfer Auction, as a critical thinker sherry supports the values of the PAA and encourages the involvement of the team to share their time and talents to lead industry related seminars to move the association and profession forward.
