Curated Single Owner Collection & Collector’s Auctions Bring Summer Excitement to Alderfer Auction
Hatfield, PA – The Single Owner Poole Collection & Collector’s Auctions hit the summer circuit at Alderfer Auction Wednesday, August 21st and Thursday August 22nd. The Richard E. and Elisabeth Poole Collection of Rehoboth, Delaware, offers over 100 pieces of fine art and designer jewelry. The artwork is by well-known local and east coast artists such as Christopher H. Shearer, Charles Gruppe, Carl Weber, Bennett Bradbury, Edmund Darch Lewis and George McConnell. Sapphire, diamond, gemstones and pearls complete the 14KY gold pins, earrings, bracelets and rings in this fine collection.
The live and online Collector’s Auction will be held the next day on Thursday, August 22nd at 10:00AM. The auction is filled with fine curations of vehicles, art, antiques, furnishings, decorative accessories and jewelry selected by Alderfer's team of professionals.
Vibrant colors of fine Japanese Porcelain, featuring portions of The Drick-Messing published collection, compose the seventy pieces in this auction. Showcased are rare and extraordinary makings of Imari, Kutani, Sumida Gawa, Fukugawa and Hirado porcelain.
The jewelry and timepieces make statements with an 18K Patek Philippe Calatrava, Ladies 18K Tiffany and Co. and 14K Repeater pocket watch.
Period furniture, Stickley mission oak, tiger maple step-back and corner cupboards keep the collector appeal as modern furniture, attributed to Paul Mc Cobb, waits for a discerning buyer.
Alderfer Auction’s roots of Bucks County Impressionism is reflected in the fine art of Ranulph Bye, Christopher Willett, Walter E. Baum, Mildred Gehman, Christopher H. Shearer and Bennett Bradbury. The regional appeal continues with the fifteen-piece collection of sculpture from the Philadelphia artist Joseph Greenberg. His two most notable works are the granite bear and cub in the Philadelphia Zoo and his magnum opus being in the 'Symbol of Progress'. The magnum opus is a 60-foot sculpture in the heart of Bethlehem, PA. Fine Art from the Collector’s Auction continues with world-renown artists of Auguste Rodin, Georges Omerth, and Luigii Settani.
The Collector’s Auction vehicles include a rare 1965 Willys Jeep FC-150 Forward Control 4WD with stake body; low-mileage 1999 Jaguar XK8 with only 29,856 original miles; and a fun 1993 Nissan 240SX Convertible.
