Rectangular box with hinged lid, enameled with black, white, gray and blue abstract and geometric decoration. Struck K, Faberge in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial warrant, 88 Zolotnik (91.6%) on both the cover and base. Probably Fedor Ruckert. 1.25"h x 2.75"w x 2.125".

Paul Storr George III Silver Soup Tureen, 1817

Oval, with gadrooned rim, the reeded handles rising from lion heads and capped with acanthus and shells, set upon a single gadrooned pedestal foot. Body engraved on both sides with Coat of Arms. Dome decorated with gadrooned borders, coiled serpent handle and stag head engraving. Cover and base both hallmarked Paul Storr, London, 1817. Includes Robert Garrard II sterling silver insert dated 1865. Approx. 160ozt or 11lbs total weight 13"h x 17.5"w x 0.5"d.

Brent Souder began working with Alderfer Auction in 1986 and has extensive knowledge in the auction industry. Brent graduated from Mendenhall School of Auctioneering, Highpoint, NC in 1987. He is also a graduate of Certified Auctioneers Institute at Indiana University, with certifications as a Master Personal Property Appraiser (MPPA). Brents expertise include jewelry, fine and decorative arts, with a focus on the Pa Impressionists which he has established record sales in his discoveries throughout his tenure. Brent was named the Pennsylvania State Bid Calling Champion in 2003. He received the honor of the PA Auctioneer of the year in 2018 and inducted into the PA Auctioneer Hall of Fame in 2020 for his contributions to the industry. He currently serves on the PA Auctioneer Association Board of Directors.

Adrian Martinez joined the Alderfer team in 2020 as a Generalist and Cataloger with a focus on Decorative Arts and Silver. He attended The Hill School in Pottstown, PA and earned a BA in US History at New York University. Adrian spent several years in New York as an assistant to an antiques collector/archivist and as a museum tour guide. He has held various roles in the surrounding Philadelphia area auction industry since 2016. Adrian works in the areas of Fine and Decorative Arts and Mid-Century Modern & Design.
