Alderfer Auction

This auction presents a curated selection of historical artifacts and vintage domestic items, headlined by a contemporary Indigenous art sculpture from Tesuque Pueblo artist Mark Swazo-Hinds (1959-2023). The piece showcases traditional materials including carved stone, feathers, horn, leather, and semiprecious pendants. A notable numismatic collection features Continental currency from 1775 Annapolis, alongside international currency including pre-war Italian Lire, French francs, and Egyptian coins. Domestic artifacts include vintage household technology such as a Pelouze Superb Computing scale and various sad iron heaters from manufacturers like A.J. Lindermann and Hoverson Co. Kitchen antiquities include a Majestic No. 40 dough mixer and Meyers antique fruit press. The collection extends to paper ephemera, featuring vintage Valentine and Christmas cards, while military collectibles include WWII discharge patches and pins. Together, these items chronicle American domestic and economic history from the Colonial era through the mid-20th century.
